Description: The Center for Environmental Studies and Monitoring (CEMAM) is a Civil Society Organization (CSO) created in September 2014 with objectives focused on research, environmental monitoring, and conservation of marine, coastal, and associated terrestrial ecosystems. Our main activities include the rescue and rehabilitation of marine megafauna (turtles, birds, and mammals); care for oiled wildlife; continuing education; and the implementation of projects and courses in various fields such as Ecology, Morphology, Environmental Education, Animal Behavior, and Ecotoxicology.
Species of focus: Olive ridleys (Lepidochelys olivacea), Green turtles (Chelonia mydas), Loggerheads (Caretta caretta), Kemp’s ridleys (Lepidochelys kempii), Hawksbills (Eretmochelys imbricata)
