Description: Voluntourism, Conservation Experiences, Nature Retreat - MEMANTA is a growing sea turtle project founded by german conservationist Daniela Berg. Each year we save, in collaboration with the local community, over 150 nests from poaching by relocating them to our hatchery. We receive international volunteers and interns from the fields of biology and geography who get trained in patrol and hatchery techniques and help us both physically and financially to maintain our conservation efforts. During the turtle off-season, we offer short-term stays and ecotourism programs. Apart from that, we maintain a native beachfront forest and a small farm to live freely and sustainably.
