Description: Lang Tengah Turtle Watch (LTTW) was founded as a conservation organization in 2014 with the aim to help save sea turtles from extinction. Initially founded on the island of Lang Tengah, the project expanded to Tanjong Jara Resort in 2016 and Pantai Chakar Hutan in 2022. Besides saving turtles, we also preserve their nesting and foraging habitats. We conduct regular beach and underwater clean-ups to remove marine debris. We also restore the coral reefs in Lang Tengah to mitigate the decline of coral reefs. We recognize the imperative need for community involvement to achieve sustainable, long-term impacts and this is reflected in our work across both project sites. We organize educational outreach programs to raise environmental awareness and engage member of the public in conservation.
