Description: The Observatoire des Tortues Marines (OTM) is a french scientific programme piloted by the national Museum of natural History (MNHN) and delivers permits to observers (derogations to the protection of sea turtles/ Arrêté ministériel December 30, 2020) on behalf of the Ministry in charge of the environment. The sea turtle networks and rescue centers, partners of the program (Réseau Tortues Marines d’Atlantique Est, Réseau programme) are collecting data and samples on sea turtles in France mainland and St Pierre et Miquelon. These data contribute to improve the knowledge on the populations occuring in these regions and to carry out the assessments useful in the frame of environmental policies.
