Description: Feeding ecology of green turtles (Chelonia mydas) nesting on the Eastern Mediterranean Nesting Beaches. TÜBİTAK 118Y431 2019 -2022 The Eastern Mediterranean beaches are the most intense nesting beaches for green turtles. Green turtles use the Eastern Mediterranean not only for nesting habitats but also for feeding grounds. There are limited studies on the marine habitats of sea turtles, and this species spends more than 90% of their lives in marine habitats. As a marine habitat, the Eastern Mediterranean is also an important foraging area for sea turtles, and this project aims to reveal the possible feeding habits and habitats of these highly important marine reptiles.
